Do guns or the shooters suck? – 071

October 30th, 2009 by Eric Shelton | Filed under Podcast.

This episode, I explore the ideas of different classes of shooters, and why the “that gun sucks” discussion gets started. As an unwitting test-dummy, I beat up on the XD to see what you guys think. Is it loved by many for the wrong reasons, and it sucks? Or do mission requirements for one person blind them to the needs and preferences of others?

A.R.M.S. suing Larue

Gun control in England

leads to Stormtroopers in the streets.

Don’t bring a knife to a coffee fight

I hate stupid people that think they’re smart.  Larry does, too.

Kalashnikov apologizes?  ’Cause being an AR guy, that’s a fugly gun he made…  :P LOL.

When Colt’s were worth buying.

Eric, i love your work but that interview with the politician was painful. she doesn’t seem to know her stuff when it comes to firearm issues (even though you were almost spoon feeding her the proper responses) but other than that great job …

Eric, the new Handgun Podcast logo looks GREAT!

    Good Job whoever did it…

I haven’t listened to this particular podcast but by the time you read this I’ll’ve downloaded it into my MP3 player… LOL!

Eric, I gotta confess, after about 25 shows I had unsubscribed, I was fed up with your style, etc… (Bear with me, sir, this is a good review.)

However I was running out of listening material, so I decided to go back and pickup where I’d left off, etc… I couldn’t find my place, etc… So worst of all worse scenarios, I had to start (OMG!) all over… I stolidly went thru the programs, and so forth, all the way up till today’s show.

Eric Shelton, you’ve grown, seasoned, and matured. You’re one helluva lot better now, than way back when you first started… Keep getting better, Eric, I look forward to your programs now.

More to come, but I’m going to email it to you.

P.S. Yes you can use my full name, I’m proud of it, and who I am.

I agree with you on the XD i got caught in the gun store hype went to buy something else and was talked into buying a XD 40 subcompact. It seemed to be cool at first and it wore off quick ive traded it off for something else and i am much more happy.

Stay away from the ill versed politicians, and I still don’t get why you talked smack about the XD for 20 minutes only to apologize for it later.

Two xd .45 compacts…One xd .45 tactical…One old xd .357 sig…23,000 plus rounds between all four. I use one for duty carry and my wife and I use the others for off duty and concealed carry. NO malfunctions, NO broken parts. These Internet experts and One guy I saw on you tube beating his xd .45 on a table because he put his damn gun back together wrong know nothing but rumors they came across on the “misinformation” highway. I will continue to use mine until they actually break. If they do…Springfield will repair or replace them free of charge. Oh…I agree $500 is a bit much for the xd, I only have $1,568 invested in all four of mine with my discount. I took a chance to try one out a long time ago and I didn’t waste a dime of my hard earned money. You can BET YOUR ASS my wife would NOT carry one if I doubted the weapon. Bottom line…they work for me, and I shoot really well with them.
